What I have learned about Baking a Dutch Apple Pie
#1 Dutch Apple pie requires a top....its more like having to make two pies really, there's a bottom pie we all know & love & a top we take for granted & only notice it when it's not there.
#2 Baking is not cooking... if it says two table spoons of cinnamon powder it means two table spoons of cinnamon powder.... not 3 & a bit. 1/3 cup of sugar is not just under a cup..
#3 Thickness matters... if you're too hard & crusty on the outside nobody will love you..
#4 Pies are hot when they come out of the oven even two minutes later...who knew..
#5 I will write the songs & Bonnie will cook the pies...
